Startup Garage IL was founded in 2017 by serial entrepreneurs Idan Shamir and Maya Levi, who had each spent years working out of noisy cafés and overpriced shared offices that offered space but nothing else.
They built Startup Garage IL with a single thesis: the most valuable thing you can give a founder is not a desk or a coffee machine — it's the right network, the right mentors and the right opportunity to hear "yes" from a check-writer at the right moment.
Today, the Garage occupies 2,800 sqm across four floors on HaHashmonaim 101, one of Tel Aviv's most connected business addresses, and has become the launch pad for 42 portfolio companies that have collectively raised over ₪120 million.
Founded with 30 desks and 12 founding members on HaHashmonaim.
Launched the Accelerator Programme — first cohort of 5 companies.
Expanded to full building — 200 desks, 14 private offices and event space.
Portfolio companies cross ₪100M raised milestone. Community hits 200+ members.
